    Home Performance Diagnostics

Home Performance Diagnostics is discipline using scientific methods to provide complete
check-up for both residential and office spaces.

    Performance Diagnostics
demonstrates how one is rated in relation to building codes and standards
and pinpoints all deficiencies. For new construction, it enables for deficiencies
to be corrected during the construction phase.

    Home Performance Diagnostics Include

    • Whole house/office air tightness
    • Pinpoints leakage locations
    • Building materials and elements condition
    • Building code compliance/comparison
    • Air distribution and pressures
    • Exhaust fans operation
    • Ductwork leakage
    • HVAC system static pressures
    • Air flow measurement
    • Heating/cooling capacity
    • Combustion appliances operation and venting
    • Ductwork sizing
    • Filtration assessment
    • Gas leakage detection
    • Thermal imaging for:
      • Insulation condition and adequacy
      • Air leakage
      • Moisture problems
      • Water leaks
      • Electrical load deficiencies
    • Report with recommendations for improvements

    Indoor Air Quality

Fluxair service is also designed to identify, evaluate and control potential indoor contaminant sources arising
from building construction materials, furnishings, occupant operations,
mould or bacteria growth, system failures or building design itself.

AIR QUALITY TESTING & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

If there is known contaminant in the environment that needs to be measured for concentration or there is a suspicion of one existing let us find it out for you. Variety of indoor contaminants are known to cause following symptoms when entering or occupying enclosed space: headache, sneezing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, runny nose, watery eyes, nausea, coughing, itching or sometimes even more serious medical conditions. They are defined as allergens and origin of these symptoms may be: biological, chemical or environmental. Some of the most common contaminates are: Mould, Bacteria, Odours, VOCs, Hazardous gases, Dust, Pests (body parts, excrements), Pets (dander, fur, feathers).

    ENVIRONMENT ASSESSMENTS & INVESTIGATIONS

Indoor Air Quality is only one segment of the field termed as Indoor Environment Quality that includes environmental factors such as light, sound, vibrations, electromagnetism which could impact human well being in the similar way as the airborne contaminants.
Modern way of life that made people spend more time indoors combined with the fact that indoor environments are by far more contaminated than outdoors have the consequence of drastic increase of allergies, respiratory diseases, asthma being most predominant and multiple other detrimental effects on human health. Children and elderly are most vulnerable.

    VENTILATION & AIR DISTRIBUTION

Some indoor spaces may not have sufficient quantity of fresh outdoor air rendering the feel of stale, stuffy and odorous environment with increased level of Carbon Dioxide and/or other contaminants. HVAC system deficiency or malfunction may cause some areas being poorly conditioned or not at all.

    HVAC SYSTEM INSPECTIONS

Detailed video inspection of the entire HVAC system will either provide evidence of systems integrity or detect any deficiency within. It will also provide evidence of possible contamination of the system.

    MOISTURE MAPPING

Moisture mapping is process of measuring moisture levels of certain materials and drawing a map for easier visualisation of the affected areas and to serve as guide for remediation.

    Instrumentation

    instrumentation

It is very important to accurately measure and record targeted parameter in order to determine its effect on humans and course of action for its removal or control.

That is why we use equipment from one of the most renown manufacturers in the field, and also regularly calibrate it to maintain its accuracy at all times.

    Educated

Engineering degree guarantees proficient approach and attention to detail. Continuing education in the fields of Building science, HVAC systems, thermodynamics, microbiology and other related fields strengthen our determination to maintain unparalleled standards.

    Certified

Indoor Environment Consultant Certification from American Council for Accredited Certification as an independent, third party body is based on experience and written exam. It is the most widely recognized certifications in the indoor air quality industry in North America.

    Experienced

Over 10 years of field experience in variety of investigations and testings both in residential and commercial/industrial environments.

    Commited

We poses knowledge and experience and our goal is to use it to provide unparallel client service. Should you feel we failed in the field of commitment, we will offer a refund of our services.

    Insured

    Fully insured and WSIB compliant.

    Our HVAC Restoration Division

As part of overall improvement of indoor air quality, adding energy cost reduction and prolonging useful life of HVAC equipment, we offer restoration of the same, mainly air handlers, from packaged Roof Top, large build-up commercial/industrial, to small condo heat pump designs.

We provide long term solutions for rusted and deteriorated components with particular focus on drain pans, poorly designed components and damaged insulation replacement.

We are using well proven materials and engineered methods. Improving heat exchange efficiency and airflow capacity is accomplished by pressure washing of one of the crucial components of any HVAC system, cooling, heating or condenser coils.
